Bonfire Night

Bonfire Night is on November 5th. It's also known as Guy Fawkes Night. The date marks the failed attempt to blow up the Houses of Parliament by Guy Fawkes and a group of conspirators in 1605.
Nowadays many people on the UK celebrate Bonfire Night with family and friends. They light fireworks at home, or watch fireworks displays in parks. They stand around the bonfire and eat food like sausages and jacket potatoes.
