Pinwheels for Peace

International Peace Day is on September 21st but in Spain, schools celebrate Peace Day on January 30th every year, on the anniversary of the death of Mahatma Gandhi. Peace Day is a day when we think about respect and friendship. People ask for peace and harmony for everyone. The message is: Love is better than egoism, Non-violence is better than violence, and Peace is better than war.

We were making pinwheels at the school last days with our own wishes for peace.

 Also we create "word clouds" for peace like this.

Peace Day 2011

Hello again. We started school wishing us a Happy New Year but it's difficult to be happy if we do not live in peace. Let's put all our heart into it every day even if can be a hard task.
